Terms & Conditions

1. Quotations

  • All quotations are free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.

  • The quotation covers only the work specifically described. Any additional work requested by the customer will be quoted separately and may incur additional charges.

2. Acceptance

  • Acceptance of the quotation (whether verbally, by email, text message, WhatsApp or by paying any requested deposit) confirms that you accept these Terms & Conditions.

3. Payment

  • Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment in full is due immediately upon completion of the works and receipt of the final invoice.

  • We accept payment by bank transfer or other agreed payment methods.

  • Overdue invoices may be subject to interest and reasonable recovery costs where permitted by law.

4. Access & Preparation

  • The customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the work area.

  • If access is restricted or the site is not ready, additional charges may apply.

  • If our team attends the property on the agreed start date and is unable to commence or continue the work due to circumstances within the customer’s control (including, but not limited to, lack of access or the customer requesting a postponement on arrival), the customer will be responsible for any reasonable costs incurred by West Hallam Fencing as a result, including labour costs for that day.

5. Underground Services

  • While every reasonable care is taken, West Hallam Fencing cannot accept responsibility for damage to underground pipes, cables, drains or other services that have not been accurately identified or disclosed before work commences.

6. Delays

  • Work may be delayed due to adverse weather, supplier shortages or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If this happens, we will keep you informed and complete the work as soon as reasonably possible.

7. Variations

  • If unforeseen ground conditions, hidden obstructions or other unexpected circumstances are encountered, any additional work required will be discussed with the customer before proceeding wherever practicable.

8. Waste Removal

  • Unless specifically included within the quotation, removal of existing fencing, vegetation, soil or other waste is not included.

9. Workmanship

  • We take pride in the quality of our work. If, following completion, an issue arises that is the result of our workmanship, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and we will inspect the issue. Where it is determined that the issue is due to our workmanship, we will rectify it at no additional cost.

  • Timber is a natural product and may shrink, swell, split, twist or develop surface cracks over time. These are natural characteristics and do not affect the structural integrity of the fence.

10. Ownership

  • All materials supplied remain the property of West Hallam Fencing until payment has been received in full, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Liability

  • Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
